Students are bringing home a large format, yellow sheet of paper entitled "three celebrations which are important to me and my family".
On the first row, they write the name of a celebration.
Second row, a tradition for this celebration.
Third row, what special music is played.
Our homework is in the form of an "interview" that the students will be doing with a parent/guardian at home. They will be asking questions about your favourite celebrations and the traditions involved in celebrating them.
For example:
"My dad's favourite celebration is Christmas. Our tradition is to eat a big turkey dinner every Christmas. Our entire family comes for dinner and we listen to traditional Christmas carols"
