Scientist in the School.

Scientist in the School was a huge success... as always! Mme Byrne, the supply teacher, took some wonderful photos which I'm thrilled to share with you all. The subject of the morning was "solids, liquids, and gases". Enjoy:

Scientist Denise starts off with 3 states of matter and students give examples.

Ice vs ice+salt - students record temp at 4 different times. One cup has ice alone, the other has ice and salt.

Students noticed the ice building up around the blue cup, which had ice and salt.

Raphael assists in proving/disproving our hypothesis that ice melts faster than ice with salt.
