Valentine's Day

Hello once again - I seem to be blogging way too often!

Regarding Valentine's Day... We're not going to have a party but I'm going to give the students free time during the last two periods on Thursday. During this time, they may hand out valentines should they wish to do so.

Have a great weekend!

Book Bags.

There are several students who repeatedly forget to bring in their book bag. Every week, I read one-on-one with students and those who do not bring their book bag miss out. It's really very important that students remember to bring their book bag every Thursday (or Wednesday on a short week).

On another note, next week is an extremely short week due to the PA Day and the Primary Arts Day. For this reason, I won't have time to read with every student. Books will therefore be kept until the following week and are due on February 18.

Thanks everyone.

Primary Arts Day.

Next Thursday, February 11, is Primary Arts Day at Clairlea. This is a fun day for the younger students while their older counterparts attend Winter Activity Day.

On this day, the students will enjoy a presentation by award winning author Philip Roy (web site). He will read from his Happy the Pocket Mouse series. Following the presentation, students will participate in crafts related to the books, as well as have a dance in the gym later in the day. Altogether, this day is intended to offer some fun and brightness during the cold winter months. We all hope that they enjoy it!
